1.3. Is there a pay differentiation based on my degree (e.g., Master’s, Ph.D., multiple degrees, etc.)?
There is no difference in pay for higher or multiple degrees. However, if you are a certified teacher in these participating Smarter Balanced states/territories—California, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Indiana, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, South Dakota, Vermont, Washington, or the U.S. Virgin Islands—you may receive a different rate when working on the Smarter Balanced project. In those states, your DOE has signed off on training/scoring pay rates. They differ by location, so please contact your DOE or submit a HelpSpot request and select “Payroll.”
